We ask our polynesian wayfinder for direction.
Yes, of course we practice what we preach. On a quest to our own core identity, we found that we are thoughtful navigators. A thoughtful navigator knows the seas like no other, but he refrains from simply bringing you to your destination, for he is not the captain, you are. He sit's all the way up in the crowsnest with a clear view on where you come from, where you are going to and with whom you are getting there. It's not his role to take the rother, but based on his long experience and well prepared logs, he directs you to your true north.
Tupaia was a Polynesian sea guide in the 18th century. Much of the world was yet to be discovered and a great myth swirled over the seaworthy countries. The Myth of Terra Incognita. An island south of the 40th latitude with as many treasures as North America. The man who eventually solved this great myth was captain James Cook, but he couldn't have done it without his thoughtful navigator Tupaia.
For all our strategic decisions or daily team discussions, we look up to our crow's nest and ask Tupaia what he would do. It keeps us agile and quick on our feet in building our company called Wayfinders.
